Women’s Soccer Closes Packed Weekend At Home Against Georgia Southern Sunday

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Coming off its most complete performance, Marshall women's soccer (3-4-2, 1-1-1 SBC) hosts Georgia Southern (4-7-1, 1-2 SBC) Sunday at 1 p.m.
Sunday is Senior Day at Hoops Family Field. Marshall will recognize Ava Hall and Alyssa Hardin prior to the start of the game.

PRE-MATCH NOTES
- Last Sunday's breakout was Marshall's highest scoring total of the season so far. The three goals for the Herd were the most in a conference game since scoring four against Texas State on Oct. 23, 2022.
- MU's Bailey Fisher scored a goal and added two assists in the victory over Troy. The Herd's junior is fourth in the league with four assists.
- Junior Alexis Wolgemuth is third all-time in program history with 10 clean sheets. She is behind only Lizzie Kish (21) and Liz Orton (17) for most-ever by a Herd keeper.

ABOUT THE EAGLES
- Georgia Southern is 4-7-1 overall and 1-2 in league play. The Eagles SBC win came at Arkansas State, while dropping 2-1 results at home against App State and Coastal Carolina.
- Senior Smith Cathey is ninth in the conference in points, with four goals and three assists.
- Marshall and Georgia Southern have been close in the all-time series, with the Eagles leading, 3-2. GS has taken each of the first two meetings in the Sun Belt Conference era.
