Herd, JMU meet in nationally-televised game with a potential division title on the line
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall's Nov. 30 contest at James Madison has been set for an 8 p.m. kickoff at Bridgeforth Stadium and will be shown on ESPNU, it was announced Monday afternoon.
The announcement comes in conjunction with the 12-day window for broadcast information, as determined through the Sun Belt Conference's television contract with ESPN.
Depending on the results of this weekend's contests, the Nov. 30 matchup could decide the Sun Belt East Division title, making it one of the most highly-anticipated games of the SBC season.
The announcement of the ESPNU broadcast marks the sixth nationally-televised game of the 2024 season for the Thundering Herd.
The teams will be meeting for the fifth time overall, and it will be the second time the series has been played in Harrisonburg.
Currently, Marshall has a 3-1 overall record against James Madison, including a 26-12 win in Sun Belt play in 2022. The Dukes won last season's nationally-televised contest 20-9 in Huntington.
