HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The eighth-ranked and second-seeded Marshall University Men's Soccer team (9-1-6) readies for the seventh-seeded Old Dominion Monarchs (7-7-2) to open the 2024 Sun Belt Conference tournament at Hoops Family Field on Sunday. The quarterfinal matchup is set to begin at 3 p.m.

- The Herd ended the regular season with a scoreless draw Tuesday against the West Virginia Mountaineers at Hoops Family.
- Marshall ended the regular season with a .813 goals against average, the best in the SBC and 15th in the nation, with a +18 goal differential, 14th best in the country.
- Lineker Rodrigues dos Santos has tallied eight goals in his last 10 matches. The senior forward ranks fifth in the SBC with nine goals and sixth in points at 20.
- The Herd's goalkeeper duo of Aleksa Janjic and Dan Rose combined for seven clean sheets across the team's 16 matches.

- ODU sealed its spot in the SBC Tournament with a 1-0 win over James Madison on Tuesday in Norfolk.
- Sunday is the second time this season the Monarchs roll into Huntington, having suffered a 2-1 defeat to MU on September 29.
- Michael Stratham has been a stalwart in goal ranking second in the SBC with a .753 save percentage third and third in shutouts at five.
