HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Men's Basketball team (7-5) opens Sun Belt Conference play in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Saturday afternoon against the Southern Miss Golden Eagles (4-7). Opening tip in Reed Green Coliseum is set for 3 p.m. EST/2 p.m. CST.

• The Herd is on a two-game winning streak after wins over Ohio and West Virginia Wesleyan Saturday and Monday, respectively.
• Mikal Dawson has scored in double-figures in his last four games, with 19 or more points in his last three, as he leads the team at 12.9 points per game.
