HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall University Men's Basketball (12-16, 7-8 Sun Belt) forward Nate Martin recorded his 14th double-double of the season on Wednesday night against the James Madison Dukes (25-3, 12-3 Sun Belt) in the Cam Henderson Center.
The Herd fell to the Dukes 84-58.
"Obviously a rough game," Herd men's basketball head coach Dan D'Antoni said. "They're physical. You have to fight through it. You have to make plays. We missed three layups. We missed free throws."
Martin brought down a career-high 16 rebounds and scored 12 points for the double-double in the contest. The junior also made five of his eight shots from the field.
Kevon Voyles, Jacob Conner and Kamdyn Curfman each added nine points with Voyles leading the team with three steals.
A 13-0 run by JMU early in the first half put Marshall at a disadvantage it couldn't overcome in the ballgame.
MU dominated the offensive glass, 15-7, turning those 15 offensive boards into 12 points.
