Mastin Paces Closer to Top 1500 mark in Sun Belt Conference

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Several Marshall track and field athletes competed Friday at the UVA Grand Prix.
Among the athletes was junior Kylee Mastin, who set a season-best in the 1500 with a 4:23.24. Mastin's time places her within three seconds of the top mark in the Sun Belt Conference.Â
Other competitors Friday included Tyra Thomas (100 hurdles), Evan White (1500/5K), and Ronnie Saunders (1500), all of whom are currently placing in the SBC. Â
Friday's events provided an opportunity to compete against top competition in hopes of becoming a top-48 qualifier for the NCAA East Preliminaries next month.Â
Marshall will have a full squad in action Saturday at JMUÂ
