Fourth award for The Herd this season, most in a single-season in program history

NEW ORLEANS – Marshall University Baseball starting pitcher Drew Harlow was named the Sun Belt Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday for the first time this season, as announced by the league office.
Â
This is the fourth conference weekly award for The Herd this season, breaking the record for most in a single season in program history of three done in 2002, 2005 and 2019.

Harlow threw a gem Friday night throwing 7.0 innings, giving up just two runs on four hits with no walks and tying his career-high of nine strikeouts in a win over Old Dominion. The righty's nine punchouts tied his career-high set the previous weekend at Louisiana.

The Halifax, Virginia, native earned his sixth win of the season, tied for the SBC lead, in his fifth quality start of the year. Harlow has 59 strikeouts this season, tied for third in the Sun Belt.
