HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Tennis team (18-7) travels to Rome, Georgia, for the 2024 Sun Belt Women's Tennis Championship. The Herd will face the winner of seventh-seeded App State and 10th-seeded James Madison on Friday at 2 p.m.

PRE-MATCH NOTES
- The Herd ended the season with a 4-3 win over App State on April 13 and a 6-1 victory over JMU on Saturday.
- Johanna Strom was named First Team All-SBC in singles along in addition to a first-team doubles honoree with doubles partner Emma Vanderheyden.
- Doroteja Joksovic earned Second-Team All-SBC honors in singles after going 9-1 in conference matches and taking all 21 of her victories during the season in straight sets.
- The duo of Sophia Hurrion and Aisling McGrane were named Second-Team All-SBC in doubles after finishing 7-1 in SBC matches.
SCOUTING JMU
- JMU enters the tournament as the 10th seed at 8-12 overall and 4-6 in conference play.
- The Dukes have fallen in their last five matches after dropping a tightly contested match on April 13, 4-3, to Georgia and falling to The Herd in the team's season finale.
- Daria Munteanu is 12-6 in matches at numbers one and two singles this spring earning a second-team all-conference singles honor.
SCOUTING APP STATE
- The Mountaineers enter the SBC Championship with a 12-9 overall record, 6-5 in SBC matches, as the seventh seed.
- App State fell in its final match of the season, 6-1, at home to top-seeded Old Dominion.
- Savannah Dada-Mascoll was to named to the first team in singles after going 16-2 during the spring.
