Multiple Herd T&F Athletes Earn Season-Bests Saturday at USF

TAMPA, Fla. - A group of athletes for Marshall track and field competed in the Florida sun Saturday afternoon at the USF Invitational.
Of the group, a pair of runners with Mikah Alleyne and Tyra Thomas scored while picking up season-bests.
Alleyne's time of 1:00.46 scored fourth, with a time that ranks third in the Sun Belt Conference marks.
Thomas's 13.75 in the 100 meter hurdles ranks sixth in the SBC.
"We made moves in the right direction today, Director of Track and Field Keith Roberts said. "I feel like there were a couple things that we left out on the track but all together it was a good weekend. We had several PR's, season bests and our student-athletes put themselves in position to score at conference and qualify for regionals. We moved up in the conference rankings and set ourselves up for the rest of the season."
The Herd travels to Harrisonburg for a crucial meet at the JMU Invitational next weekend.
