Marshall is one of 25 Division I teams to have at least five golfers honored
NORMAN, Okla. – Marshall Men's Golf had five student-athletes named as 2023-24 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars, the GCAA announced on Thursday.
Marshall representatives include Tyler Jones, Cameron Jarvis, Joseph Kalaskey, Clayton Thomas and Andrew Wyss.
"I am so proud of these guys!" Marshall Men's Golf coach Matt Grobe said. "They played great golf this year and led us to one of our best seasons on the course while also performing great in the classroom. This award is a combination of those two areas where our guys excelled. This was a special year and it is so exciting to see five of our players earn the distinction of All-American Scholar!"
Marshall was one of only 25 Division I golf programs to feature at least five GCAA All-Americans on its roster.
To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I.
In addition, they must participate in 50 percent of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 in NCAA Division I and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2.
A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.
