HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The No. 8 Marshall University Men's Soccer Team is set for its 2024 season opener on Thursday as it hosts Cal State Fullerton at 7:15 p.m. at Hoops Family Field.

- Marshall closed out its exhibition with a 4-0 win over Winthrop on Saturday in a weather-shortened contest.
- The Herd was picked as the Sun Belt Conference preseason favorite in the league's coaches preseason poll.
- Taimu Okiyoshi, Lineker Rodrigues dos Santos and Marco Silva were also named Preseason All-SBC honorees on Wednesday as announced by the conference office.
ABOUT THE TITANS
- Fullerton was picked to finish second in the Big West Preseason Coaches Poll after finishing 12-5-3 last season.
- Roberto Ordonez was named the Big West Offensive Player of the Year after registering a league-high 28 points on nine goals and a conference leading 10 assists.
- Erick Serrano was the conference's midfielder of the year with 16 points on eight assists and four goals.
