Five trips to the Carolinas highlight Herd's slate

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Women's Golf announced its 2024-25 schedule on Wednesday afternoon.
The schedule features 10 events with five in each of the fall competition and spring championship seasons for head coach Brooke Burkhammer and the Thundering Herd.
"We are excited to get our 2024-25 season underway soon," Burkhammer said. "We have some new events and courses that we will see, which brings excitement to our players and our program. It should be a great year for Marshall Women's Golf!"
Marshall's 2024-25 schedule features five events in the Carolinas with other events in Kentucky, Indiana, Florida, Arizona and the 2025 SBC Championships, which will take place in Point Clear, Alabama.
The season gets underway in the Bluegrass State as the team travels to Simpsonville, Ky., for the Cardinal Cup, hosted by the Univ. of Louisville.
Three trips to North Carolina take place in the fall with the Tot Hill Farm Invitational (Sept. 23-24), the UNCG Fall Invitational (Oct. 21-22) and the FBCI Invitational (Oct. 28-29).
The spring championship season starts with a trip to Melbourne, Florida, for the Columbia Classic Invite (Feb. 8-9).
The team begins March in Tucson, Ariz., at the Mountain View Collegiate (March 2-4) before heading next to the City of Oaks Collegiate in Raleigh, N.C. (March 21-22).
Marshall's final tuneup prior to the conference tourney is the Golfweek Invitational, scheduled for March 31-April 2 at Pawley's Island, S.C. The team then has two weeks to prepare for the 2025 SBC Women's Golf Championships in Point Clear, Alabama, from April 14-17.
The Thundering Herd returns the nucleus of its team from 2023-24. Seniors include Emily McLatchey and Katie Potter while juniors are Olivia Kochan and Abbey Bull. The team's three sophomores are Madison Borders, Maddi Hudson and Taylor Sargent.
