HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The No. 8 Marshall University Men's Soccer Team hits the road for the first time in 2024 as it heads to Cincinnati, Ohio, for a matchup against Xavier on Thursday night at 7 p.m.

- Marshall opened its season with a 3-0 victory over Cal State Fullerton at Hoops Family Field on Thursday.
- The shutout marked the team's 13th clean sheet in the team's last 22 matches.
- Aymane Sordo got the scoring started in the 38th minute as he put back a rebound off a shot by Marco Silva.
- The Herd then used a goal from Aleksandar Vukovic in his MU debut from Takahiro Fujita and Alexander Stjernegaard off a corner in the 63rd minute with the team's third goal came on an own goal by the Titans in the 69th minute.
- Aleksa Janjic registered the shutout in goal as Marshall's defense allowed just one shot with only one on goal.

- Xavier enters the match 1-0-1 after drawing 0-0 on Thursday to Northern Kentucky and defeating Cal State Fullerton 4-1 on Sunday.
- Michael Rogalski assisted on two goals in the Musketeers win over Fullerton on Sunday with Ernest Mensah, Jr. tallying the game-winning goal.
- Jonny Mennell played all 180 minutes in the goal for Xavier in the first two matches, making eight saves.
