HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall University Volleyball senior Brynn Brown was named the Sun Belt Conference Setter of the Week on Tuesday, as announced by the league office.
Â
"Brynn has been a staple for this program for three years," Herd Volleyball Head Coach Ari Aganus said. "She's the type of "general" every coach wants running their offense. I'm proud of our first ball contact to give her the opportunity to run a sound offense, but so proud that the conference sees what we're able to see day in and day out."
Â
The native of Toledo, Ohio, helped The Herd to a 2-1 weekend, sweeps over ETSU and Elon, at the Wildcat Classic as she had 74 assists (8.22 per set) to go with 30 digs and was named to the all-tournament team.
Â
Brown registered her first double-double of the season on Saturday against Davidson with 19 assists and 12 digs. Brown had 27 assists on Friday against ETSU and a season-high 28 in Marshall's final match of the weekend against Elon on Saturday afternoon.
Â
The Herd is back in action on Friday as it opens the EMU Tournament against Oakland.
