Herd’s first SBC road game of 2024 will appear on ESPNU
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Football's Oct. 12 matchup at Georgia Southern will be a 8 p.m. kickoff at Paulson Stadium in Statesboro, Georgia, and will appear on ESPNU.
The Sun Belt Conference announced the time and television considerations for the game as part of the 12-day window agreement between the Sun Belt and its television contract with ESPN.
The ESPNU broadcast will be Marshall's third nationally-televised game through five contests in the 2024 season.
Marshall has won the last six meetings between the schools and leads the all-time series, 6-2, which includes three wins in Statesboro.
The Herd's last trip to Paulson Stadium was a hard-fought 23-10 win over the Eagles on Nov. 19, 2022 in their first meeting as Sun Belt rivals. Marshall also defeated Georgia Southern, 38-33, in Huntington last year in SBC play.
It will be the first of two nationally-televised contests on ESPN's family of networks for the Herd.
Following that Oct. 12 prime-time night contest, Marshall will turn around and host Georgia State at 7 p.m. on Thursday night from Joan C. Edwards Stadium.
