Pair of shutouts, three points highlight Pinto’s week

NEW ORLEANS – Marshall Men's Soccer defender Rai Pinto was named the Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday, as announced by the league office.
The Porto, Portugal, native was a part of back-to-back clean sheets for the Herd in wins over Oakland and at James Madison.
In the win at JMU, Pinto assisted on Louie Salkeld's game-winning goal and tallied his third goal of the season for a three-point match.
No. 12 Marshall is back in action on Wednesday night at Hoops Family Field against South Carolina at 7:15 p.m.
