Eddie DeMarco Named SBC Defensive Player of the Week

NEW ORLEANS – Marshall Men's Soccer goalkeeper Eddie DeMarco was named the Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday, as announced by the league office.

The Monroe, New Jersey, native was a part of back-to-back clean sheets for the Herd a 4-0 win over South Carolina on Wednesday and a scoreless tilt at Old Dominion on Sunday.

The redshirt junior made a save against the Gamecocks and four crucial stops against the Monarchs to keep The Herd on a four-match shutout streak.

No. 9 Marshall is back in action for the Mountain State Derby on Friday in Morgantown against West Virginia.
