HARRISONBURG, Va. – The Marshall University Swimming and Diving picked up a road win at James Madison, 154-145, on Saturday in Harrisonburg, Virginia, at Savage Natatorium.
Leading into this meet, we talked about executing our race plans and committing to competing all the way through the session. Winning today was a fun outcome, but I was most proud of the way every individual contributed through the meet, Herd Swimming and Diving Head Coach Ian Walsh said. When we get to championship season, there will be a lot of experiences we can pull from this meet specifically that will allow us to pull from. We're in a good spot and the staff is looking forward to getting back to sharpen things up leading into the Miami Invite.
Highlighting the day was Lauren McNamara's 200 Butterfly win. The sophomore's time of 2:01.93 broke the Savage Natatorium record in the event. McNamara also took the 100 Butterfly in 55.93.
