Olivia Kochan Earns T-5 Finish At Columbia Classic

Herd junior cards second round under par of tourney in final round
MELBOURNE, Fla. – Marshall junior Olivia Kochan shot a 1-under-par 71 to earn a T-5 finish at the Columbia Classic on Sunday at Doral Golf Club in Melbourne, Florida.
Kochan's 1-under 71 was her second consecutive round under par in the event as she finished at Even par for the tournament to lead the Herd while earning the Top-5 finish to start her spring year.
Kochan's final round featured four birdies, including birdies on two of her final six holes as she climbed up into the top-five for a strong finish for the Herd.
The 71 followed up a 2-under 70 in her first round of the spring season in which she had three birdies as well – one of the tournament's strong performances. Kochan was one of five players to post multiple under-par rounds at the Columbia Classic Invite.
In addition to Kochan's effort, Marshall's top weekend efforts included 3-over 75s by Abbey Bull in the first round and Emily McLatchey in her second round. As a team, Marshall finished 9th in the Columbia Classic.
Marshall's next action will come at the Rivertowne Invitational in Mt. Pleasant, S.C., from Feb. 16-18.
