Marshall Women’s Golf Finishes First Day At Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge

Madison Borders leads Herd after day one at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club
PAWLEY'S ISLAND, S.C. – Marshall Women's Golf completed day one at the Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge on Monday at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club.
Madison Borders led a balanced first day effort for the Herd, shooting a 77 to lead the team. Her lone birdie of the day came on the par-4, 13th hole.
Emily McLatchey led the team in birdies on the day, finishing with five. That number included a stretch in which she birdied three of four holes – Nos. 4, 5 and 7.
All of Marshall's team members finished within two shots of each other on the day with each member registering at least one birdie. Olivia Kochan had two birdies on Nos. 15 and 17.
Abbey Bull also went a stretch of nine holes in which she was 1-under on the day. Bull birdied the par-3 No. 6 and then went on to eight consecutive pars.
