Track & Field to Compete at JMU Invite Saturday

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Marshall Track & Field will get a preview of the site of the Sun Belt Conference Championships at Sentara Park in Harrisonburg. The JMU Invite starts Saturday, April 12 at 10 a.m.

Saturday will be one of just two remaining meets prior to the SBC Championships at the same facility starting May 8.

The first event Saturday is the Women's Hammer Throw, concluding with the Men's 4x400 Relay at 5:45 p.m.

Marshall has three athletes currently qualifying for NCAA 1st Round East Prelims (Lara Check-Long Jump, Dezire Gee-400mH, Addison Painter-Long Jump).

The Herd currently has 20 athletes in Top-8 spots in the Sun Belt Conference, including freshman Destiny Berryman who is Top-8 in the 800, 1500, and 5K.
