HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Marshall's leading home run hitter Rielly Lucas came close to driving in the Herd's (24-21, 10-8 SBC) fifth and game-tying run before the Coastal Carolina (35-13, 11-7 SBC) right fielder made the catch to secure a 5-3 series clinching victory.
Marshall - which has seven wins in its final at-bat this season including Friday evening - scored three in the 7th off the bat of sophomore Ramey George. The Huntington native's three-run shot was her second of the season and breathed life into the sizable crowd at Dot Hicks Field.
