Herd Track & Field Finishes Regular Season Strong at Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Marshall Track & Field saw two event wins and a school record fall among other standout performances Saturday at the UL Clark Wood Invitational.
The Men's 4x100 team made completely of freshmen with Joey Bloebaum, Samari McCord, Jonathan Owusu, Chris Swint set a school record time of 40.77 to finish fourth in the event.
After her school record setting 200 yesterday, Dezire Gee raced a 11.63 100 Saturday, second-best in school history. She was also a member of a season-best 4x100 team and the winning Women's 4x400 team alongside Myah Boze, Nyah Harrison, and Brynn McKeever.
"Dezire [Gee] had one of the best meets in school history," Director of Track & Field Keith Roberts said. "Second all-time in 100 and carried it all the way to the 4x400. Our Womens' 4x400 won the meet even with adverse circumstances, as we continue to get better. Hannah Wyler also earned a huge victory. Taylor Spencer and Ellie Hosaflook both moved up in the steeple and our Women's 4x100 was lights out with a third place finish."
On the men's side, four freshmen continue to drop their school record time in the Men's 4x100. The 4x400 was great as well."
"A lot of people are coming together and moving up on the list both in our program history as well as in the conference. We are looking forward to the conference meet!"
