Native of Madison, West Virginia, earns first postseason honor

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall University Baseball starting pitcher Griffin Miller was named to the 2025 All-Sun Belt Conference Baseball Second-Team on Monday, as announced by the league office.
The sophomore right-handed hurler finished the regular season with a 3.18 ERA and seven wins, both marks third in the SBC, in 79.1 innings, fourth most in thrown in the conference
The native of Madison, West Virginia, struck out 67 strikeouts with 23 of those looking, tied for fifth in the SBC, with a season high eight in two games, at Troy (Mar. 29) and against App State (Apr. 12).
Miller had seven quality starts in his 14 starting appearances on the bump, hurling at least 5.0 innings in 12 starts.
Marshall is back in action on Wednesday as the four seed in the 2025 Sun Belt Conference Championship presented by Troy University against fifth-seeded Louisiana in Montgomery, Alabama. First pitch is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. EST/7:30 p.m. CST.
