Herd Swimming and Diving Readies for Big Home Weekend

Set for a dual against Duquesne on Friday and tri-meet against Bowling Green and Duquesne on Saturday

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Swimming and Diving Team prepares for a big pair of days this weekend at the Frederick A. Fitch Natatorium. The Herd hosts a dual against Duquesne on Friday at 6 p.m. followed by a tri-meet against Bowling Green and Duquesne on Saturday at 11 a.m.
Friday's contest is set to be broadcast on ESPN+.
This will be the team's first dual meet since December 16 in a 172.50-121.50 win at FIU.
In the program's first season in the American Conference, Maddie Emment has been named Freshman Swimmer of the Week twice as Lauren McNamara has earned a Swimmer of the Week award.
At FIU, MU took first in nine events.
Emment took first in the 1000 (10:25.62) and 500 Freestyle (5:12.93).
Isabelle Cameron also took first in the 100 (1:05.86) and 200 Breaststroke (2:21.41). Molly Warner rounded out a trio for MU to win two events with victories in the 200 Freestyle (1:54.66) and the 200 Individual Medley (2:07.12).
Marshall also saw Mia McBride win the 100 Backstroke (57.53), Lauren McNamara in the 200 Butterfly (2:02.70) and the Miami native Elyse Wood in the 100 Freestyle (51.51).
