Ropietski Earns Top-20 Finish At Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge

Herd sophomore finishes T-18 at Even; Minutoli goes 2-under in final round
PAWLEY'S ISLAND, S.C. – Marshall sophomore Cael Ropietski continued his steady play throughout the Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge, earning a T-18 finish at True Blue Golf Club in Pawley's Island, S.C.
Ropietski finished with an Even-par 72 on Wednesday to also finish Even for the tournament, which helped him net the top-20 result.
The Pittsburgh native finished his day with four birdies – all on the front-9 – which led to the Even-par result.
The day's best round again belonged to freshman Jack Minutoli, who shot a 2-under 70 on the final day of competition after notching three birdies and 14 pars in a stellar round of golf.
It was Minutoli's second straight round of 70 as he vaulted 27 spots up the leaderboard to earn a T-29 finish after a great final 36 holes of golf at True Blue.
Minutoli had just two bogeys over his final 29 holes of action.
Senior Clayton Thomas provided one of the day's highlights when he notched an eagle on the par-5 9th hole to close out the front-9.
Marshall's Men's Golf team will now prepare for the 2026 Sun Belt Championships, which take place April 27-30 at Annandale Golf Club in Madison, Miss.
