2024-25 CSC Academic All-District
2024-25 (Senior):
Thomas carded one of the greatest rounds in Marshall Men's Golf history in the first round of the 2024 Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational when he carded a 9-under 62, which led him to a T-3 finish at the event. Thomas later added an opening round 67 (5-under) at the Golfweek/Stifel Challenge en route to a 14th place finish and also had a final round 69 (3-under) in the 2025 SBC Championships. Thomas competed in 10 of 11 tournaments in 2024-25 with a stroke average of 74.7 - third-best for the Herd on the season.
2023-24 (Junior): As a junior for the Herd, Thomas competed in 10 events, logging a 74.8 scoring average for the year in 28 rounds played. Thomas had four separate rounds of 70 - the Feaganes Invitational, twice at the Tom Tontomonia Invitational and another at the Dayton Flyer Invitational. The two rounds of 70 at the Tom Tontomonia Invitational pushed him to his best finish of the year - a 23rd place finish.
2022-23 (Sophomore): Competed in nine events during his sophomore year with the Herd, logging a stroke average of 76.22. In only his second collegiate event, Thomas finished T-13 at the Joe Feaganes Invitational, bolstered by a final round 2-under 69 that left him Even-par for the tournament. Also had a 2-under 69 at the Sea Palms Invitational.
2021-22 (Freshman)
2022 Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll: GPA 3.00 or better
Did not compete … Redshirted season.
High School: Attended Fairland High School … Starred for the Dragons on the course and on the basketball court … Had a nine-hole average of 36 … Shot a 66 at the OVC Championship played at Portsmouth Elks … Was a state qualifier in 2019 … On the basketball court, averaged over 14 points per game and 4.4 assists per game as a junior … Hit 40 percent from three-point range … Also involved in Clean and Green, National Beta Club, and Madison Avenue Christian Church.
Personal: Born Sept. 23, 2002 … Son of Scott and Leslie Thomas … Has two older brothers … One older brother, Luke, played for the Marshall men’s basketball team from 2018-21 … Chose Marshall because, “it is a legacy I want to continue through my family.” … Plans to major in accounting.
