HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Jadan Hudson, Marshall's Director of Student-Athlete Development, has been selected to participate in the 2026 NCAA Effective Facilitation Workshop.

The in-person portion of this workshop is set for June 4-6 at the NCAA Headquarters in Indianapolis.

"I am excited for Jadan to represent Marshall University on the national stage while growing within his profession through the NCAA's Effective Facilitation Workshop," said Gerald J. Harrison, Marshall's Vice President and Director of Athletics. "Within our Herd Mentality, professional and personal growth is imperative as we honor our journey. It is part of our DNA to build each other and build a stronger Marshall University. The knowledge Jadan gains at the workshop will not only benefit him in the future, but also the Marshall staff and student-athletes that he works with on a daily basis."

The Effective Facilitation Workshop is a professional development opportunity sponsored by the NCAA to help participants build confidence leading discussions, workshops and team meetings while helping them learn new strategies to engage student-athletes and colleagues.

Through this experience, participants will join a network of committed facilitators in a workshop that provides real-time coaching and feedback.

The NCAA Effective Facilitation Workshop is taking on a new hybrid format for the 2026 year with virtual and in-person sessions.

The virtual sessions for the workshop took place last month with two split sessions on May 7 and May 21 that enhanced a wealth of skills in a variety of professional settings that include planning and implementation skills for group discussions, thoughtful questioning to engage group insight and approaches for active learning and reflection.

During the virtual sessions, participants built foundational knowledge that prepares them for this week's in-person experience in Indianapolis, which starts today.

The three-day in-person workshop at the NCAA Headquarters focuses on taking the knowledge gained during the virtual sessions and applying it through real-time coaching and group work that emphasizes scenario-based learning while also allowing participants to continue to grow their network in intercollegiate athletics.

The NCAA Effective Facilitation Workshop is part of the NCAA's continued Leadership Development series, aimed at building a stronger future for intercollegiate athletics.
