HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Following a Thursday evening draw at Belmont, Marshall Women's Soccer (2-1-1) returns to the pitch on Sunday against UT Martin (1-0-4). Match time from Skyhawk Soccer Field is set for 8 p.m. eastern, 7 p.m. central.

COACH RAFA SIMOES
- Head Coach Rafa Simoes is in his third season leading the MU Women's Soccer program. The former associate with the Herd men's team is a 2018 graduate of the University of Charleston in West Virginia, where he played for then-head coach Chris Grassie.
- Simoes and the Herd had a resurgent 2025 season. In his second year as skipper for MU, Simoes led the team to win its most games in a decade (8) with four All-Conference selections, also the program's most since 2015.
PRE-MATCH NOTES
- Marshall rallied for a 3-3 draw at Belmont Thursday evening. Sophomore Wiktoria Mikrut scored all three of the Herd's goals, giving her a team-leading four goals this season. Her hat trick was the 10th in program history.
- Eight different players have registered an assist for the Herd this season. The team's 2.50 assist per game average is best in the Sun Belt Conference.
- In the midst of a stretch where Marshall is playing four of five contests away from Huntington, the Herd is 4-4-3 on the road since the start of the 2025 season.
ABOUT THE SKYHAWKS
- At 1-0-4, UT Martin is unbeaten so far in 2026 under fourth-year head coach Mike Varga. The Skyhawks have finished level after 90 minutes in its last three matches.
- Fifth-year goalkeeper Mac Titus earned All-OVC last season with a program record-tying seven shutouts. Titus and the Skyhawk defense has an additional two so far this season.
- Marshall seeks its first win in program history against UTM. The Skyhawks won the only two previous matchups in consecutive seasons in 2017 and 2018.
