Herd hosting 14 teams at Guyan Golf & Country Club this week
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Men's Golf is proud to host the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational, which gets underway on Monday morning at Guyan Golf & Country Club.
The Herd is serving as host for the 54-hole event, which features 36 holes of continuous play on Monday.
"We always enjoy the opportunity to host this tournament and to have teams come to Huntington to play," Marshall Men's Golf coach Matt Grobe said. "Our guys all get the chance to compete at a course they are familiar with in a tournament setting that is very competitive. It will be a fun two days at Guyan."
There are 14 teams participating in the event, which got underway with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. on Monday. Tuesday's final round is also scheduled for an 8:30 a.m. start.
Those competing in the team portion for Marshall include Jackson Woodburn, Cael Ropietski, Tanner Vest, Jackson Harris and Wes Lorish. Sammy Shy, Ben Bridges, Carson O'Dell and Jake Dost will compete as individuals.
