HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Football heads back on the road for a nationally-televised contest this weekend, traveling to Plaster Stadium to take on Missouri State at 6:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. CT on Saturday in a game to be shown on CBS Sports Network.

PRE-GAME NOTES
Marshall and Missouri State are only meeting for the second time in history, but both have come within the last two years as part of a home-and-home series between the programs.
Each team is coming into the game off a victory last week after losses to nationally-ranked teams in week one. Marshall defeated Middle Tennessee, 28-26, while Missouri State topped Lindenwood, 48-14.
In last week's win over Middle Tennessee, Marshall played three quarterbacks who combined to go 15 of 23 through the air. Starter Carlos Del Rio-Wilson was 7 of 8 for 92 yards and a score while rushing for another score.
Marshall wide receiver Xayvion Turner-Bradshaw scored two touchdowns in the win – one on a 69-yard reception and another when he dove on a fumble in the end zone.
Herd defensive back Zah Jackson got the first interception of his career in the fourth quarter when he picked off a Middle Tennessee pass and returned it 54 yards to set up what proved to be the game-winning score.
Missouri State's first-ever win at the FBS level came in the 21-20 win over Marshall last season in Huntington.
ABOUT MARSHALL
Marshall comes into the game at 1-1 overall after a 28-26 win over Middle Tennessee in Huntington last week.
Offensively, quarterbacks Carlos Del Rio-Wilson and Zion Turner led the way for the Herd with Del Rio-Wilson going 7 of 8 for 92 yards and two touchdowns – one rushing and one passing – while Turner led a pair of fourth-quarter scoring drives that led the Herd's comeback.
Wide receiver Adrian Norton caught seven passes in the win while Xayvion Turner-Bradshaw scored a pair of touchdowns.
Defensively, linebacker Cannon Lewis had a career-high 14 tackles while defensive back Zah Jackson had a key fourth quarter interception that set up a Herd touchdown and helped the team to the win. It was Jackson's first career interception.
Punter Cooper Heimbach continued his strong play, averaging 48.8 yards per punt in the win.

ABOUT MISSOURI STATE
Missouri State is led by first-year head coach Casey Woods, who earned his first head coaching win last week in the Bears' win over Lindenwood.
The Bears are led by quarterback Skyler Locklear, who has completed 25 of 37 passes for 288 yards on the season.
Wide receiver Jmariyae Robinson is one of Conference USA's top all-purpose threats as a receiver, kick returner and punt returner for the Bears.
Defensively, Missouri State is led by Jared Lloyd, who has 19 tackles on the season.

SERIES HISTORY
This will be the second all-time meeting between the two teams and the final game of a home-and-home series that began last year. Missouri State owns the advantage in the series between the teams, having earned a 21-20 win in Huntington last season.
