2025 stats - Passing: 171-of-256 - 2,043 yards, 17 TDs, 5 INTs; Rushing: 160 carries, 661 yards, 6 TDs
Summary: Del Rio-Wilson returns for 2026 as 1 of only 2 returning FBS quarterbacks to throw for 2,000 yards, rush for 600 yards and complete 65 percent of his passes, joining Auburn quarterback Byrum Brown (formerly USF) in that elite company. Del Rio-Wilson was also one of only 8 quarterbacks nationally to earn multiple weekly accolades from the Davey O'Brien 'Great 8' and Manning Award 'Stars of the Week.' The Atlanta, Ga., native also broke Marshall's 43-year-old record for single-season rushing yards by a quarterback in 2025 with 660 rushing yards.
Earned Davey O'Brien Award 'Great 8' and Manning Award 'Stars of the Week' honors for the following performances:
- vs. Middle Tennessee - Passing: 18 of 22 for 261 yards, 4 TDs; Rushing: 13 for 22 yards, TD
- vs. Georgia State - Passing: 22 of 27, 321 yards, 3 TDs; Rushing: 17 for 97 yards
HERD FILE: Del Rio-Wilson spent the last three seasons at Syracuse after transferring there from Florida in 2022. In three seasons at Syracuse, he appeared in 14 games with two starts while completing 48 of 102 passes for 624 yards and four touchdowns. Also rushed for 148 yards and a score. He did not appear in any games last season due to injury. Our of high school, Del Rio-Wilson was rated as a four-star prospect by 247Sports. He was the No. 16 quarterback in the country and the No. 14 overall prospect in Georgia for the Class of 2021.
