HERD FILE: Gilmore comes to Marshall from Mississippi State where he is joined by wide receiver Antonio Harmon, who was also with the Bulldogs. Gilmore appeared in 24 games over three seasons with Mississippi State. In 2024, he appeared in 11 games with zero starts and made his first career tackle and tackle for loss against Texas on Sept. 28. Named a four-star prospect by Rivals, he was the No. 15 player in Louisiana and the No. 23 OLB in the Class of 2022 after a senior season in which he had 69 tackles with 12 TFLs and 4.0 sacks.
