HERD FILE: Fagan was the consensus top player in the state of West Virginia, earning the Gatorade Player of the Year and the MetroNews Player of the Year awards, in addition to the State Player of the Year award, as voted on by the West Virginia Sports Writers Association. Fagan led Martinsburg to the West Virginia Class AAAA Championship after a season in which he amassed 4,100 total yards (2,264 passing, 1,848 rushing) and 61 touchdowns (33 passing, 28 rushing). He completed 63.1 percent of passes and only threw six interceptions on the year. Fagan chose Marshall over an offer from West Virginia.
