State where he saw action in one game against Stanford as a true freshman then redshirted. Returns home to Huntington after being a standout for head coach Billy Seals at Huntington High School. Was a four-star prospect for the Highlanders and the No. 1 prospect in West Virginia. Was ranked as the No. 28 interior lineman nationally in his recruiting class.
