Marshall Men’s Golf Starts Play At River Run Collegiate

Fresh off solid play in home tourney, Herd heads to Davidson, N.C. with momentum
DAVIDSON, N.C. – Marshall Men's Golf continues its Fall 2026 season on Monday and Tuesday when the team takes part in the River Run Collegiate, hosted by Davidson.
The Thundering Herd is one of 13 teams competing in the event at River Run Country Club in Davidson, N.C.
"We had some good performances at our home tournament last week and we're excited to build off that as we head to River Run," Marshall Men's Golf coach Matt Grobe said. "It's a beautiful course that will challenge our guys, so we look forward to this week's challenge.
The 54-hole event gets underway on Monday with 36 holes of continuous play, starting with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. Tuesday's final round will also get underway at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start.
Competing in the team portion for Marshall this week are Jackson Woodburn, Jackson Harris, Cael Ropietski, Tanner Vest and Wes Lorish. Ben Bridges will compete as an individual.
