2009: Served as the team[apos]s closer in 2009...made 23 relief appearances totaling 38.2 innings out of the bullpen in his first season with the Herd...tied a single-season school record with eight saves...sits tied for third for saves in a MU career...his eight saves ranked fifth in Conference USA...posted a 3-5 record...finished second on the team in ERA (3.49) and third in strikeouts (45)...averaged better than a punch-out per inning (1.16)...held opponents to a .217 batting average...converted a save in his first appearance of the season against Old Dominion (2/20)...notched his first win as part of the Herd by tossing 3.0 scoreless innings at South Florida (3/8)...picked up a save and a victory to help take a two-of-three in a series at Memphis (3/20-22)...earned MU[apos]s fist ever victory at then No. 1 Rice (4/19) by setting career-highs in innings (3.2) and strikeouts (5)...recorded a span of 11.1 innings over seven-straight appearances without allowing an earned run (3/4-22).
Prior to Marshall: Attended Grayson County Junior College...notched 10 saves...pitched 17 innings in 16 appearances...established a .229 opponent batting average (lowest on team)...helped Grayson County win JUCO World Series and become National Champions...also attended University of Texas-Arlington.
High School: Attended Southlake Carroll Senior HS...registered a 2-1 record with three saves...fanned 36 batters in 23.1 innings...helped guide team four rounds deep into the playoffs.
