JB Blankenship
Bio
JB Blankenship is a husband, father, coach and entrepreneur from the Tri-State Area.
JB’s first memories of Marshall University were going to football games at Fairfield stadium with his grandad, who was a Philosophy professor at Marshall.
JB is a graduate of the class of ‘93 from Vinson High School.
JB and his business partner Joda Burgess have built and grown 5 different companies including WeCare Medical where JB was the COO and handled business development and the marketing team. Before selling in 2021 WeCare Medical became one of the top independent DME companies in the country. Currently JB focuses on developing the other companies under Oley and James Executive Management with a primary focus on B&B Holdings and Paving Solutions.
JB has been involved with coaching youth programs since 2010. He is on the coaching staff for Spring Valley High School Football. He has also coached girl’s youth basketball since 2018 and in 2020 he started a girls travel basketball program OJ Elite. They have 5 teams ranging from 3rd grade to 8th grade.
JB has been married to his wife Ashley (Marshall Alumni) for 19 years and together they have 3 daughters Finley, and twins Chandler and Kennedy.
