John Farley II
John is from Kenova, West Virginia and graduated from Marshall University in 1978.
Farley began his career as an engineer for Frontier-Kemper Constructors based in Evansville, Indiana. As the premier underground mine construction contractor in the United States, Farley built several underground mining complexes across the country.
He developed pneumatic hoisting technology and blasting techniques that are still used today in the industry. In 1988 FKC decided to venture into the TBM tunneling business. Farley led an estimating team winning contracts in Milwaukee, WI and Rochester, NY. As Regional Manager, Farley also took on responsibilities of construction claims analyst and risk assessment advisor for the company.
In 1995, Farley returned home and started a career in the highway and bridge construction business. As General Superintendent for Ahern and Associates, Farley had responsibilities for building numerous roads and bridges across West Virginia.
In 2010, Farley founded Triton Construction. Triton has grown to the largest Heavy/Civil contractor based in West Virginia. They have completed over one billion dollars of infrastructure projects in West Virginia and surrounding states.
Farley currently serves as Chairman and CEO of Triton Construction and is President of East Coast Bridge, Rover Construction, Paul’s Concrete, and Pipe Plus Construction.He is managing member of Triton Properties, TritonWV, and JDS Development.
Farley is Vice President of the Construction Labor Council and serves as a Trustee for the IUOE 132 Pension, Apprentice, Health and Welfare Funds.He is a member and serves as a Director for the Contractors Association of West Virginia.
Farley is a member of the Big Green board and serves on the executive committee. He is married to his wife, Victoria and has two children, Jay (Ashley), a dentist, and Amanda (Matt), a RN, as well as three grandchildren, Lincoln Elizabeth, Conor James, and Charlee Grace.
