2022 (Senior): Competed in five meets for Marshall in senior season...Competed in first career Sun Belt Championships, racing an 8k time of 27:45.2...Finished season at NCAA Mid-Atlantic Championships, racing a 10k time of 33:42.5
2021 (Junior): Competed in four meets for Marshall in junior season...ran a season best 8K time of 26:16.0 at the 2022 C-USA Championships. Raced for Marshall at the NCAA DI Mid-Atlantic Region Cross Country Championships, racing a time of 33:56.7.Â

2020 (Sophomore): Competed in all three meets for Marshall in the shortened season … earned All-Conference USA honors for his 20th place finish and 8K personal record time of 25:08.1 at the C-USA Championships, becoming the 15th honoree on the men's side in school history to earn All-C-USA honors … led the Herd in all three meets which began at the Louisville Classic on Oct. 3 with a time of 25:28.8, finishing 47th … finished sixth, a new collegiate best, at the Blue Ridge Open dual meet at Appalachian State.
2019 (Freshman): Competed in 5/6 meets for Marshall, and finished the season strong by leading the team at the season-ending NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals 10K with a time of 31:50.4, finishing 55th…began the year at the Winthrop Adidas Invitational 8K with an 11th place finish and time of 26:10.4, which helped the team earn first place…finished 8th overall at the Evansville Invitational 8K with a time of 26:03.0…finished less than 10 places off the All-Conference USA team with a collegiate 8K PR of 25:28.6 at the C-USA Championships … named to the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll and awarded the C-USA Academic Medal for achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better.
Prior to Marshall: Attended and ran at George Washington High School for coach Jenny Mayo...a senior in 2018, Birurakis finished fourth in the WVSSAC AAA State Cross Country Championship. His season best was 15:58.60 at the Chick-Fil-A Invitational... Finished second in the 3200, 1600, and 800 running West Virginia...Top 10 times of 9:15.05, 4:15.59, and 1:55.50 respectively.
Personal: Born Nov. 3, 2000...son of Stephen and late Marnie Birurakis....Majoring in Accounting and Finance...Chose Marshall because, "I was intrigued by its academics and athletics. Additionally, it was close to home for me."
