HERD FILE: Born April 26, 1994 … Nicknamed “Fred” after his cousin, former Florida Gators and Jacksonville Jaguars star running back Fred Taylor … In 2013 senior season, recorded 53 tackles and five interceptions … Recruited by Wake Forest, Purdue, West Virginia, Western Michigan and Illinois … Played in seven games for Ellsworth CC as a 2014 freshman, making two interceptions, then as 2015 sophomore had 36 tackles and five picks in 12 games.
