R-JUNIOR SEASON (2017): Started 12 games at left guard … Give the Gridiron Gladiator Award at the team’s postseason banquet … The most veteran player on a young offensive line that generated 4,938 yards and an average of 5.50 yards per play … Offensive line ranked fourth nationally in sacks allowed with 11 in 13 games (0.85 per game) … Played 665 snaps without allowing a sack.
R-SOPHOMORE SEASON (2016): One of two offensive linemen to start all 12 games ... One of only five players on the entire team to start all 12 games ... Ended the season with a 24-game start streak, which will be the longest active streak of any current MU player when the 2017 season begins ... Showed amazing durability during the 2016 season after offseason surgery to correct four herniated disks in his back ... Made all of his starts at left guard ... The only offensive lineman who played all 12 games at the same position up front ... Named to the 2016-17 C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll (3.0 or greater GPA).

He won two straight Virginia Group AAA state titles ... Was four-year starter on Handley High offensive line and three-year starter defensive line ... Rated a two-star prospect by Rivals ... Also had offers from Connecticut, Hampton, Richmond and William & Mary ... Had 109 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, nine quarterback hurries, 4.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one blocked punt in 2013 to lead Handley (7-4) to the Class 4A state playoffs ... Also helped the Judges score 402 points, run for 1,491 yards and throw for 2,597 yards in 11 games with his blocking ... Was a three-sport athlete at Handley (wrestling, track and field) ...
