R-FRESHMAN SEASON (2014): Had 45 touchbacks in 98 kickoffs for the 13-1 Herd before being replaced late in the season as the primary kickoff man by Nick Smith … Averaged 61.9 yards per kick, but his 8 out-of-bounds kickoffs topped the nation … Had a 77-yard kickoff following a Herd penalty in a win at Old Dominion … Had a season-high six touchbacks in a home win over Rhode Island and had five touchbacks at ODU … Made one tackle on kickoff team in his 13 games.

HERD FILE: Born March 16, 1994 in the Norwegian coastal city of Stavanger … Name is pronounced CORR-e Ved-VICK … Spent junior season as transfer student at McPherson (Kan.) High School before returning to his native Norway for his final year of high school … Received recruiting attention after his efforts at a Kohl’s Kicking Camp in Texas with a 70-yard field goal. He added a 57-yarder at the Texas Showcase Camp to rank among the top kickers in the recruiting Class of 2013 … Moved to Kansas hoping to play American football as a wide receiver, but because he wasn’t versed in the game and could kick from his soccer days, McPherson coaches convinced him to try place-kicking.
