R-SENIOR SEASON (2019): Reliable, consistent pass rusher who played in all 13 games, including 12 starts … Made 27 career starts, the most of any defensive lineman on the 2019 roster … Was a seven-time captain in 2019, and started every regular season game … Finished fourth on the team in tackles behind two linebackers and a safety … Made 60 tackles, including 5.5 tackles for a loss and 4.5 sacks … Tied for second on the team in sacks with two others … Finished career with 21.5 tackles for a loss and 9.5 sacks … Also forced two fumbles in 2019 … Made a career-high nine tackles in final game, the team’s Gasparilla Bowl appearance against UCF … Also showed out against nationally ranked Boise State with eight tackles, 1.5 tackles for a loss and a sack … Made six tackles in a win against Ohio … Five tackles against nationally ranked Cincinnati … Four tackles at Middle Tennessee … Made five tackles and combined for a sack in a win against ODU … Terrorized rival WKU in a Homecoming win on Oct. 26, making six tackles and setting a career-high with 3.0 sacks and 3.0 tackles for a loss … Four tackles in a win at Rice … Four tackles in a win against Louisiana Tech … Three tackles on Senior Day, a win against FIU.
R-JUNIOR SEASON (2018): Played in all 13 games, including eight starts at the “fox” position … Recorded 41 tackles, 8.0 tackles for a loss and 2.0 sacks … Made four tackles in eight of 13 appearances … had a tackle for a loss against N.C. State, Middle Tennessee, Old Dominion, FAU, Southern Miss, Charlotte and Virginia Tech … Equaled a career-best with 2.0 tackles for a loss at Southern Miss … Teamed with defensive lineman Ryan Bee for a sack at Old Dominion … Recorded one sack in a dominating win against FAU’s high-powered offense … Also recorded a sack in a win against Charlotte on a play that forced a third-and-long situation with 36 seconds left of the first half.
R-SOPHOMORE SEASON (2017): Awarded a scholarship before the season … Transitioning to defensive end, responded by playing in 12 of 13 games, including one start … Named a team captain for the season opener against Miami (Ohio) … Finished with 41 tackles, 8.0 tackles for a loss, 3.0 sacks and one forced fumble … Third on the team in tackles for a loss … Tied for second on the team in sacks … Recorded six tackles in three games (Miami, FIU and WKU) … Six tackles, one for a loss and one sack vs. Miami … Four tackles, two for a loss and one sack at Middle Tennessee … Three tackles, 1.5 for a loss and one sack in the New Mexico Bowl win against Colorado State … All sacks came in wins … Also had 1.5 tackles for a loss in a win against WKU … 1.5 tackles for a loss at UTSA … Credited with seven quarterback hurries … Forced a fumble against Middle Tennessee.
