2021 Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll: GPA 3.00 or better
GP/GS: 31/28 … Split time behind the plate, as the designated player and even three games at first base in fourth season … Started 14 games at catcher and 11 at DP in abbreviated season due to COVID-19 … Finished fourth on the team in batting average at .352 … Led Herd with nine doubles, second in RBI with 24 … Had 32 hits, scored 12 runs, hit four home runs, slugged .582, on base percentage of .422 … struck out only four times in 91 at bats (.044) fourth-best rate in a single season in team history … Currently fourth all-time at Marshall in career intentional walks, 11th in on base percentage (.394), tied for 13th toughest to strike out (.105 – 29 Ks in 276 at bats) and 14th in batting average (.315) … Recorded a hit in 21 games, two or more in 10 contests … Reached base safely in 24-of-31 games … Six games with two or more RBI … Threw out three runners … Began season with five hits, four doubles and three RBI in a doubleheader against Akron (March 3), now has three career games against Akron with two doubles in each contest (2020 was the other) … Hit first home run of the year against Saint Francis (March 6) … Started all three games at Chattanooga at first base (March 20-21), had not played first base in game action since Feb. 24-25, 2018 (freshman season) … In doubleheader at Chattanooga (March 20) had two hits in game one then recorded two hits in first two at-bats of game two, was walked next three times to the plate for career-high … 2-for-2 with a double, one walk and two RBI against Bellarmine (March 28) … Tallied two hits and three RBI in game one win at Middle Tennessee (April 9) … Bat .636 (7-of-11) during four game series at FIU (April 23-25), 2-for-2 with one RBI in game one, 2-of-3 with a double and one RBI in game three, and 2-of-4 with two RBI and second home run of season in game four … Continued hot bat in game one at Charlotte (May 7) going 2-of-3 with a double and one RBI … Hit third homer of the year at Charlotte (May 8) with two-run shot in the first inning … Cranked fourth home run of year against Charlotte in the Conference USA Tournament (May 12) … In Herd career has appeared in 126 games with 82 starts, 87 hits, 30 runs scored, 20 doubles, seven home runs and 56 RBI.

2020 (Junior)
2020 Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll: GPA 3.00 or better
GP/GS: 21/19 … Began to step up during junior season, starting in 19 of the Herd’s 25 games, until cancellation of the remainder of the year due to the COVID-19 pandemic … 16 of the 19 starts came behind the plate, other three starts as designated player … Ended the season batting .377 (fourth on the team), with 23 hits, 16 RBI, five doubles, three home runs and scored eight runs … All season numbers either career-highs or tying career-bests … Had five multi-hit games and three games with two or more runs driven in … Finished the year on a 10-game hitting streak (Feb. 29-March 11) going 14-of-30 (.467 avg.) driving in 11 runs, four doubles and all three of her home runs … Reached base safely in last 11 games, career-best … Started the year with career-high three hits, three RBI, a double and scored once in the season-opener versus Saint Francis (Feb. 7) … Was walked twice and had five putouts and one assist in start behind the plate at USC Upstate (Feb. 9) … 2-of-3 with one RBI in Herd’s run-rule win over Indiana State (Feb. 16) … Hit a single in the bottom of the eighth to help lead Herd to eventual walkoff win over East Tennessee State (Feb. 21) … Drove in a career-high five runs on two hits in win over Howard (Feb. 29) that began her hitting streak, added second career stolen base as well … Tied career-best with three hits in nightcap against Norfolk State (Feb. 29) including RBI double in the top of the seventh adding to the Herd’s lead during comeback win … Hit first career home run at Norfolk State (March 1) in the finale of the Pirate Classic, eighth player on the team to hit a home run … Drilled career-best two doubles and was intentionally walked once in Herd’s first home game versus Akron (March 4) … Hit second career home run and first at home with a two-run shot in win over Bucknell (March 7), also tied career-high with eight putouts and three assists … Smacked a line drive, solo home run to center in the first inning at No. 11 Kentucky (March 11) was walked later in the game as well … Currently ranks fourth all-time in team history with four intentional walks.

2019 (Sophomore)
2019 NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete: GPA 3.50 or better
2019 Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll: GPA 3.00 or better

GP/GS: 44/26 … Had 26 starts during sophomore campaign with 21 starts at designated player and five at catcher … Recorded 23 hits, 13 RBI, six runs scored, four doubles, 12 walks and two hit-by-pitches … Recorded two RBI in four games and had two hits three times … Made season-debut with a pinch hit single in the season-opener vs. UC-Riverside (Feb. 8) … Made first start of the season behind the plate in the second matchup with UC-Riverside (Feb. 9), recorded one hit and threw out one runner for first career caught stealing … Drove in first RBI of the year with a double against UNC-Wilmington (Feb. 23) … Drove in two runs including first run of the game at Charleston Southern (Feb. 23) … Also drove in Marshall’s first run of the game with two RBI double at home against Ohio (Feb. 27) … Had six-game hit streak (March 8-17) … Reached base safely in 11-straight games (March 2-23) … During an 8-game span (March 8-17) hit .421, eight hits, two doubles and did not strike out … 2-of-4 with a double at George Mason (March 10) … Walked twice and went 1-of-2 at the plate with one RBI in game three win over WKU (April 7) … Drew a pinch hit walk to load the bases in the fifth inning of game two against Louisiana Tech (April 19) that led to a grand slam by Giammarino for a 10-2 run-rule win … Had pinch hit two-run double in game one win at Middle Tennessee (April 27) … Drove in two runs in game two win over Florida Atlantic (May 4) … Recorded RBI single in with a pinch hit in first round win over UTSA (May 8) at the Conference USA Tournament … Tallied second hit-by-pitch of the season in final plate appearance of the year versus Rutgers (May 17) at the NISC Lynchburg Regional.

2018 (Freshman)

GP/GS: 30/9 … Promising young lefty catcher … Earned nine starts, four at catcher, three as designated hitter and two at first base … Finished with nine hits, four runs scored, three RBI and two doubles … Made first career appearance as a pinch hitter against Furman (Feb. 9) … First career hit versus Tennessee Tech (Feb. 10) with a pinch hit double … First career start at designated player in Herd’s win over Missouri (Feb. 17), finished game 2-of-4 with a run and a stolen base … Hit pinch hit sacrifice fly at USC Upstate (Feb. 23) for first career RBI … Started doubleheader at FGCU as catcher (March 21), recorded a hit and a scored a run in each contest … In game two at FGCU, became just the third player in program history to be intentionally walked twice in the same game (others are Rachel Folden and Morgan Zerkle) … Hit second double of the season against Saint Francis (April 3) … Finished 2-of-3 in game two win versus Morehead State (April 11) while starting at catcher, drove in a run and scored … Drove in a run with a pinch hit single at Pitt (April 28).

High School: Attended Hurricane High School and played for Josh Caldwell … Starred on the softball field hitting .573 with 18 doubles, 61 RBI and seven home runs as a senior … Named 2016 & 2017 First Team All-State Captain, the 2016 & 2017 West Virginia Softball Player of the Year, 2017 Gatorade West Virginia Player of the Year, 2017 USA Today First Team All-American, 2016 & 2017 Kanawha Valley Player of the Year … Member of the 2015, 2016 & 2017 Class AAA State champions … Hit a grand slam in the championship game her senior year … Played in the North/South All-Star game … three former teammates playing collegiately; Paige Scruggs (Morehead State), Courtney Rogers (Wheeling Jesuit) and Madison Casto (Campbell) … Member of the Archery Club and the Student Council.

 
Personal: Born June 23, 1999 … Daughter of Steve and Julia Adams … Has two older brothers Connor (23) and Maxwell (20) both attend WVU … Father played minor league baseball in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization and then played college football at West Virginia Tech … Chose Marshall because, “it was close to home and is an awesome program to stay home and to play for.” … plans to major in nursing.
