Spent freshman and sophomore seasons starring for the Raiders … As a freshman she played in 34 of 38 games and hit .452 (led team), 47 hits (3rd), 42 runs (2nd), 15 doubles (1st), nine home runs (2nd), 63 RBI (1st) and struck out only five times in 104 at-bats … sophomore season (2018) played in 36 games and hit .486 (1st), 53 hits (1st), 33 runs (1st), 13 doubles (1st), two triples (2nd), eight home runs (1st), 44 RBI (1st), 18 stolen bases (1st) and struck out just once in 109 at-bats … Finished JUCO career with a .469 average, 100 hits, 107 RBI, 75 runs, 28 doubles, 17 home runs, slugged .859 and had an on base percentage of .526 … Was named Offensive Player of the Year for Moorpark College in 2017 … In 2018 was honored as All-WSC first team, All SoCal, Moorpark Most Valuable Player and Female Athlete of the Year at Moorpark College … Multi-talented athlete also took second team All-WSC in the Javelin and was a qualifier for the state tournament … Served as the President of Moorpark College’s Captain’s Council.

Personal: Born August 31, 1998 … Daughter of Shelley Carpenter-Huerta and Ramon Huerta … Has a twin sister, Bailey, and an older brother Tanner … Chose Marshall because, “I have always wanted to be a part of something bigger than myself, and that’s exactly what I found at Marshall. The community involvement with the school, and the amount of pride there is for Marshall, that’s what drew me in and I knew that I could find a family with the Thundering Herd and proudly wear that ‘M’ on my chest. I knew when I left after my visit that I needed to make the place my home, because home is where your heart is and mine hurt a little bit the minute I left.” … Plans to major is sports management with a minor in communications.
