2016-17 (Senior): Set career bests in both the outdoor hammer throw and indoor weight throw…best hammer throw mark came at the Bob Davidson Spring Kick-Off with a throw of 49.51 meters (162 feet, 5 inches)…best weight throw toss of 15.44 meters (50 feet, 8 inches) came at the Thundering Herd Invitational…competed at both the Conference USA Indoor and Outdoor Championships.
2015-16 (Junior): Competed at both the C-USA Indoor and Outdoor Championships. Focusing on the Hammer Throw this year, Mercedes once again improved her personal best mark to 47.37m (155ft 5in)….nearly 10ft farther than her sophomore year.
2014-15 (Sophomore): Competed at the C-USA Indoor and Outdoor Championships. Improved indoor personal best Weight Throw by over two meters to a mark of 15.39m (50ft 6in). Improved outdoor personal best in Discus to 35.66m. Also, she improved her personal best Hammer Throw by nearly ten meters to a new mark of 44.76m (146ft 10in).
2013-14 (Freshman): Competed at the C-USA Indoor and Outdoor Championships. Indoor season personal best in the Weight Throw of 13.29m (43ft 7in). Outdoor season personal best in the Discus of 32.56m (106ft 9in) and Hammer Throw of 34.95 (114ft 8in).
Prior to Marshall: Ran for Buckhannon-Upshur High School in Buckhannon, W.Va., where she helped her team reach the state tournament all four years... Won the shotput event at the state meet as a senior... Helped pace her team to three West Virginia State Championships (2010, 2011 and 2013) and a runner-up finish in 2012... Majoring in business.
