Taylor Strickland

Taylor Strickland rejoined Marshall's volleyball staff in February of 2019.

It is Strickland's second stint in the position, as the alum previously served from 2013-16 before joining the Big Green Scholarship Foundation as assistant director of athletic development for the last two-plus years.

During Strickland's final season on the volleyball staff (2016), Marshall had three student-athletes who earned honorable mention all-region AVCA (American Volleyball Coaches Association) status, the Conference USA Libero of the Year and six who earned all-conference status en route to a 22-8 overall record.

A 2010 Marshall University graduate and Kenova native, she played two seasons of volleyball and was a member of the 2007 team that won the regular season league title.

She also spent two years (2011-13) as a graduate assistant in the Big Green offices.

Strickland received her Master's of Science in Human Resource Management from Marshall in 2013. She also spent five seasons as an assistant volleyball coach at Spring Valley High School and worked with the River Cities Thunder Volleyball Club from 2009-17. She coached in numerous age-groups during that time, including the 2013 18-under team that finished 33rd in the National Division and 64th of 150 teams at the USA Junior National Championships in Dallas, becoming the first club team from the state of West Virginia to qualify for that tournament.
