KENT, Ohio-Behind starting pitcher Dirk Hayhurst, the Kent State University baseball team
shutout Marshall University 13-0 in Mid-American Conference action. The Golden Flashes managed to
score in every inning but one. With the loss, Marshall falls to 16-25 on the season, 6-10 in conference, while Kent State improves to 28-12, 13-2 in conference.

Chris Welsch took off for second and got caught in a rundown that allowed Eric O?Brien to steal home.

two consecutive sacrifice flies allowed Tom Martin and Casey Ellis to score. With two outs, Phil LoCascio
singled to right center to score Chad Kinyon.

Flashes a commanding 8-0 lead.
