Marshall Competes in OSU Invitational

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Marshall University track team competed at the Ohio State University Invitational on Saturday, January 31.

Senior distance runner Varinka Barbini (Flanders, N.J.) placed first in the 5000-meter with a time of 18:46.51. Also in distance events senior Shelby Pride (Bethel, Ohio) placed 2nd in the 3000-meter (11:00.41) and 5th in the mile (5:32.95).

Junior Zedmalia Wolfe (Toronto, Ontario) placed 4th in the 200-meter dash (26.07) and 5th in the 60-meter dash (7.96). Senior Andrea Perry (Cannelton, W.Va.) placed 2nd in the 200-meter dash (25.89), 5th in the 60-meter hurdles (8.88) and 6th in the 60-meter dash (8.00).

The Herd will next be in action February 13-14 when they travel to Blacksburg, Va. to participate in the Virginia Tech Challenge.
